Global Graphics Software and Dantex Group announce strategic partnership to integrate SmartDFE into Pico UV digital inkjet presses

Cambridge, UK and Bradford, UK, 10th September 2024: Global Graphics Software, a Hybrid Software company and the leading developer of smart software components for digital print OEMs, and specialist digital label press manufacturer, Dantex Group, are pleased to announce a strategic partnership. The collaboration will see Global Graphics Software’s cutting-edge SmartDFE™ technology integrated into Dantex’s acclaimed Pico range of digital UV inkjet printers.

SmartDFE is the only AI-accelerated, inline Digital Front End (DFE) specifically designed for high-speed, single-pass digital inkjet presses. It comprises an award-winning collection of innovative components, including everything from job creation and pre-press workflow through to printhead drive electronics. It is built on the Harlequin RIP®, the world’s fastest PDF raster image processor, and incorporates workflow and color management technologies from Hybrid Software.

The Pico range of digital UV presses offers print platforms from entry-level to full hybrid, 8-color, high-speed models. Central to the company’s developments in digital UV inkjet printing is the launch of its PicoJet Digital Resolution System (DRS). Featuring 8 grey levels and providing 2400 dpi – marking the first time in the industry that a digital inkjet system has reached this level of precision – PicoJet DRS is a pioneering technology that is setting new standards in the digital inkjet printing world. By integrating SmartDFE into the Pico digital press, Dantex will deliver a unique, more powerful and versatile printing solution, enabling customers to achieve even higher productivity and superior print quality.

Hybrid Software Group PLC Publishes 2024 Interim Report

Mike Rottenborn, Hybrid Software Group CEO comments, “Hybrid Software Group performed well in the first half of 2024, with rising revenues in all business segments.  Overall, our revenues grew 8.1% over the first half of 2024, with all three reporting segments seeing growth in the range of 7% – 10%.  The first semester also brought a significant boost in profitability, with our EBITDA up 75% and adjusted operating profit up 188% from last year’s figures to €6.48 million and €4.38 million, respectively.”

Global Graphics Software, a Hybrid Software company and developer of smart software components for print OEMs and ISVs, announces the latest release of Harlequin Core™, the print industry’s fastest RIP (Raster Image Processor). Harlequin Core Version 14 represents a significant advancement in quality, performance and functionality, specifically optimized for modern high-speed digital labels and packaging presses and is fully aligned with the latest PDF standards.

“Harlequin Core v14 represents a leap forward in efficiency and capability,” says Paul Dormer, Harlequin Core product manager. “It now boasts its fastest-ever performance, with files processing up to 60% faster. Also, since Harlequin Core is now 64 bit-only and optimized for modern CPUs, users can fully exploit hardware released in the last five years.”

Version 14 introduces a new feature into Harlequin VariData™ to further enhance the printing of variable data PDFs at speed. Harlequin Core now shares reusable elements across RIPs for improved performance, ensuring that RIP farm configurations benefit greatly when running on high-end multicore hardware over single RIP instances.

To achieve exceptional color reproduction, Global Graphics Software has collaborated with its sister company, ColorLogic GmbH. Leveraging ColorLogic’s world-leading expertise, Harlequin Core v14 now offers more accurate reproduction of brand colors to match real spot inks, achieved with CxF data.

Harlequin Core v14 is now easier and faster to work with a typical development environment. The QuickStart SDK (Software Development Kit) offers a library that customer code can link to directly, providing an improved Visual Studio experience. It simplifies the code structure for users integrating their own build systems, resulting in less development time. Additionally, complex InstallAnywhere distributions and platform-dependent installers have been replaced with a new distribution method using a simple ZIP file.

Harlequin Core v14 supports Mac Silicon, Windows and Linux, and is compatible with the latest print-related standards, including PDF 2.0, PDF/X-6, and PDF VT-3 specifications.

Cambridge, le 28 mai 2024 : Global Graphics Software, une société Hybrid Software qui développe des composants logiciels intelligents pour les OEM et les ISV de l’impression, annonce la sortie de la nouvelle version de Harlequin Core™, le RIP (Raster Image Processor) le plus rapide du secteur. La version 14 de Harlequin Core apporte des améliorations significatives au niveau de la qualité, des performances et des fonctionnalités. Conçue spécifiquement pour les presses modernes et à grande vitesse dédiées aux étiquettes numériques et aux emballages, elle est entièrement conforme aux dernières normes PDF.

« Harlequin Core v14 représente un bond en avant en matière d’efficacité et de capacité », explique Paul Dormer, responsable produit Harlequin Core. « La solution offre désormais des performances inégalées, avec un traitement des fichiers jusqu’à 60 % plus rapide. La version 14 intègre une nouvelle fonctionnalité dans Harlequin VariData™ qui permet d’accélérer l’impression de fichiers PDF à données variables. Harlequin Core partage désormais des éléments réutilisables dans l’ensemble des RIP pour des performances améliorées. Ainsi, les configurations de parc RIP sont optimisées lorsqu’elles sont exécutées sur des équipements multicœur haut de gamme sur des instances RIP uniques.

Pour une reproduction exceptionnelle des couleurs, Global Graphics Software collabore avec sa société sœur, ColorLogic GmbH. À l’aide de l’expertise de pointe de ColorLogic, Harlequin Core v14 assure désormais une reproduction plus précise des couleurs de marque pour refléter les véritables encres d’accompagnement, obtenues avec les données CxF.

La version 14 de Harlequin Core v14 facilite et accélère l’utilisation du logiciel dans un environnement de développement classique. Le kit de développement logiciel (SDK) QuickStart comprend une bibliothèque à laquelle le code client peut être directement lié, pour une expérience Visual Studio améliorée. Il simplifie la structure de code pour les utilisateurs qui intègrent leurs propres systèmes de conception, ce qui réduit le temps de développement. En outre, les distributions complexes InstallAnywhere et les programmes d’installation sur plate-forme ont été remplacés par une nouvelle méthode de distribution, qui utilise un simple fichier ZIP.

Cambridge, 28 de mayo de 2024: Global Graphics Software, una empresa de Hybrid Software dedicada al desarrollo de componentes de software inteligentes para OEM e ISV, ha anunciado la última versión de Harlequin Core™, el procesador de imágenes rasterizadas (RIP) más rápido del sector de la impresión. Harlequin Core v 14 representa un avance significativo en calidad, rendimiento y funcionalidad. Se ha optimizado específicamente para etiquetas digitales modernas y prensas de embalaje de alta velocidad, y cumple totalmente los estándares de PDF más recientes.

“Harlequin Core v14 representa un salto hacia delante en eficiencia y capacidad”, afirma Paul Dormer, director de producto de Harlequin Core. “La nueva versión ofrece el rendimiento más rápido hasta la fecha, con un procesamiento de archivos hasta un 60 % más rápido. El SDK (kit de desarrollo de software) QuickStart ofrece una biblioteca a la que se puede vincular directamente el código del cliente, lo que proporciona una experiencia mejorada de Visual Studio. Simplifica la estructura del código para los usuarios que integran sus propios sistemas de compilación, lo que reduce el tiempo de desarrollo.
