Harlequin alimente le HP Pavilion du Labelexpo

Labelexpo, Bruxelles, le 24 septembre 2019 : Toutes les presses HP Indigo du Pavilion sont optimisées par le RIP Harlequin dans HP Production Pro for Indigo Labels and Packaging, qui est devenu le frontal numérique par défaut pour l’ensemble de la gamme de produits. 

HP Production Pro alimente les nouvelles presses HP Indigo 6900, HP Indigo 8000, HP Indigo 20000 et HP Indigo 30000. Ces presses produisent des étiquettes, des boîtes en carton pliables, des emballages souples et des manchons rétractables. Elles nécessitent un puissant frontal numérique pour offrir les performances et la polyvalence dont les ateliers des imprimeurs transformateurs ont besoin dans un secteur caractérisé par une diversification grandissante. 

HP Indigo GEM, qui permet l’impression et l’embellissement d’éléments numériques variables (foil, spot, tactile, cast & cure) ainsi que les effets spéciaux, est également alimenté par le frontal numérique HP Production Pro. Cela signifie que le même RIP est utilisé à la fois pour l’impression et l’embellissement, garantissant ainsi une correspondance parfaite entre les deux. 

Dans le contexte actuel du marché caractérisé par une proportion élevée de répétitions de travaux d’impression, Global Graphics et HP Indigo ont collaboré pour s’assurer que les convertisseurs qui installent une nouvelle presse avec un modèle existant seront en mesure d’obtenir des impressions cohérentes. Ils pourront également obtenir les mêmes couleurs, y compris les couleurs de marque émulées, tout en bénéficiant de la vitesse offerte par le RIP Harlequin.

Le HP Production Pro est conçu sur les bases éprouvées du Production Pro avec le RIP Harlequin, le moteur couleur Esko et la connectivité cloud PrintOS. Il permet d’augmenter les performances des presses numériques HP Indigo lorsque nécessaire, en offrant une capacité unique de développement du matériel RIP. Il augmente ainsi davantage la capacité RIP et permet de contrôler plusieurs presses à partir d’un serveur sur baie unique.   

Le RIP Harlequin est réputé pour ses hautes performances et sa fiabilité, notamment dans les environnements de production intensifs.  Référence du secteur en matière de vitesse, malgré la complexité grandissante des workflows, il prend en charge des quantités de données plus importantes que jamais. Bien que l’utilisation de données variables reste relativement faible au sein de l’impression d’étiquetage et d’emballages, elle devrait augmenter dans les années à venir. Presentazione delle ultime novità sulla stampa a getto d’inchiostro a Labelexpo

Labelexpo, Bruxelles, 24 settembre 2019: Global Graphics Software presenterà a Labelexpo (stand 9A15) la suite di tecnologie di screening che corregge i difetti di qualità comuni nelle stampe a getto d’inchiostro e che consente ad aziende di conversione e officine di stampa di elaborare una percentuale più elevata di lavori in formato digitale, con la certezza che il cliente pagherà per gli stessi.
PrintFlat™ e il motore di screening ScreenPro™ sono stati sviluppati per scongiurare eventuali effetti a striature, chiazze e bande. Sono particolarmente affette da questi fenomeni le tinte uniformi che ritraggono, ad esempio, un cielo blu o le tonalità più tenui dell’incarnato, aree in cui, senza correzione, le presse a getto d’inchiostro faticano a competere con litografia offset e flessografia.
PrintFlat rimuove le striature o la non uniformità delle testine di stampa a getto d’inchiostro, comunemente note come inkjet frown o inkjet smile. I visitatori dello stand potranno visualizzare campioni stampati che mostrano i miglioramenti di qualità possibili dopo l’applicazione di PrintFlat su una serie di differenti testine di stampa a getto d’inchiostro.
Rimuovendo tali effetti indesiderati, aziende di conversione e officine di stampa possono usufruire dei numerosi vantaggi della produzione digitale, come brevi promozioni speciali e dati interamente variabili, senza preoccuparsi dell’esito di un determinato lavoro di stampa. PrintFlat e ScreenPro sono stati insigniti del premio InterTech Award di Printing Industries of America nel 2019 e nel 2018.

Harlequin alimenta il padiglione HP al Labelexpo

Labelexpo, Bruxelles, 24 settembre 2019: tutti i sistemi di stampa HP Indigo del padiglione al Labelexpo Europe sono dotati di Harlequin RIP all’interno di HP Production Pro for Indigo Labels and Packaging, il front-end digitale predefinito per l’intera gamma di prodotti. 

HP Production Pro alimenta il nuovo dispositivo HP Indigo 6900, nonché i sistemi di stampa HP Indigo 8000, HP Indigo 20000 e HP Indigo 30000. Questi sistemi di stampa consentono di produrre etichette, contenitori pieghevoli, packaging flessibile e manicotti termoretraibili e richiedono un potente front end digitale in grado di offrire la versatilità e le prestazioni richieste dai negozi di stampe e dalle aziende di conversione, soprattutto perché viene utilizzata una sempre maggiore variabilità in questo settore. 

Anche HP Indigo GEM, che consente di stampare e decorare svariate decorazioni digitali con metodi foil, spot, tactile e cast & cure, nonché numerosi effetti speciali, è alimentato dal front-end digitale HP Production Pro. Innovations jet d’encre au salon Labelexpo

Labelexpo, Bruxelles, le 24 septembre 2019 : À l’occasion du salon Labelexpo (stand 9A15), Global Graphics Software présente sa suite de technologies de tramage vouée à corriger les défauts de qualité courants des impressions à jet d’encre afin que les convertisseurs et les imprimeurs puissent exécuter une plus grande proportion de travaux d’impression numérique, dans la certitude que ceux-ci seront payés par les clients.

PrintFlat™ et le moteur de tramage ScreenPro™ ont été développés pour limiter les artefacts de stries, de taches et de bandes. Les teintes plates, telles que le bleu du ciel et certaines couleurs chair, sont particulièrement affectées. Sans correction, les presses à jet d’encre peuvent difficilement rivaliser avec la lithographie offset et la flexographie.

PrintFlat supprime les problèmes de bandes ou de qualité non uniforme des têtes d’impression à jet d’encre, appelés communément « frown » ou « smile ». Les visiteurs du stand pourront voir des échantillons imprimés démontrant les améliorations possibles de la qualité grâce à l’application de PrintFlat sur un certain nombre de têtes d’impression à jet d’encre.

En supprimant les artefacts, les convertisseurs et les imprimeurs peuvent bénéficier des avantages de la production numérique, tels que les tirages courts de promotions spéciales et les données entièrement variables, sans se soucier de savoir si oui ou non l’impression d’un travail particulier sera bonne. PrintFlat et ScreenPro ont reçu un prix Intertech décerné par Printing Industries of America en 2019 et 2018 respectivement.

New inkjet innovations on show at Labelexpo

Labelexpo, Brussels, 24 September, 2019:  At Labelexpo (stand 9A15) Global Graphics Software is showing its suite of screening technologies which corrects quality defects that are common in inkjet output so that converters and print shops can run a higher proportion of jobs digitally, confident that their customer will pay for them.

PrintFlat™ and the ScreenPro™ screening engine have been developed to overcome streaking, mottling and banding artifacts. Particularly affected are flat tints such as blue sky and some flesh tones, areas where, without correction, inkjet presses struggle to compete with offset lithography and flexography.

PrintFlat removes the banding or non-uniformity from inkjet printheads commonly known as the inkjet frown or smile. Visitors to the stand will be able to see printed samples that show the quality improvements that are possible after PrintFlat has been applied across a number of different inkjet printheads.

By removing artifacts converters and print shops can benefit from the advantages of digital production such as short runs of special promotions and fully variable data, without worrying about whether a particular job will print well. PrintFlat and ScreenPro have been recognized with an InterTech Award from the Printing Industries of America in 2019 and 2018 respectively.

Global Graphics Software is also giving a preview of version 2.0 of Fundamentals, a simple to use digital front end with a modern user interface that makes it easy for the press operator to keep control of the workflow. Easy step and repeat and nesting via STEPZ with award-winning VDP composition, from HYBRID Software, makes it possible to estimate and plan single or multi-gang jobs and see how the output will appear when printed, helping to reduce wasted media.

Harlequin provides power to the HP Pavilion at Labelexpo

Labelexpo, Brussels, 24th September, 2019: All HP Indigo presses in the Pavilion at Labelexpo Europe are powered by the Harlequin RIP inside the HP Production Pro for Indigo Labels and Packaging which has become the default digital front end for the full product range. 

The HP Production Pro drives the new HP Indigo 6900 as well as the HP Indigo 8000, the HP Indigo 20000 and the HP Indigo 30000 presses. These presses produce labels, folding cartons, flexible packaging and shrink sleeves, and require a powerful digital front end to produce the performance and versatility that converters and print shops need, especially as more and more variability is used in this sector. 

The HP Indigo GEM that allows printing and embellishment of digital, variable embellishments such as foil, spot, tactile, cast & cure, and special effects, is also driven from the HP Production Pro digital front end. This means that the same RIP is used for both print and embellishment, ensuring a good match between the two. 

With a high proportion of print jobs being repeats in this market, Global Graphics and HP Indigo have collaborated to ensure that converters who install a new press alongside an existing model will be able to match the output. They will also be able to achieve the same color, including emulated brand colors, while benefiting from the speed advantages that the Harlequin RIP brings.

HP Production Pro is built on the field-proven foundations of Production Pro with the Harlequin RIP, Esko Color Engine, and PrintOS cloud connectivity. The Production Pro provides a single point of control to the press operator to streamline and manage the print workflow. It allows extra performance to be added to HP Indigo digital presses when required because it offers a unique capability of scaling up the RIP hardware to increase RIP capacity even further and control multiple presses from a single rack server.   

The Harlequin RIP is known for its high-performance and reliability, notably in production intensive environments. It is the industry benchmark for speed even as workflows become more complex, carrying larger amounts of data than ever before. While the use of variable data is still a relatively small proportion of label and packaging print it is expected to grow and Harlequin’s feature for processing these files – Harlequin VariData™ – will ensure that print jobs continue to be RIPped at speed.

Neue Tintenstrahl-Innovationen auf der Labelexpo

Labelexpo, Brüssel, 24. September 2019: Global Graphics Software stellt auf der Labelexpo (Stand 9A15) seine Screening-Technologien vor, mit denen bei der Tintenstrahlausgabe übliche Qualitätsmängel korrigiert werden, sodass Druckereien einen höheren Anteil an digitalen Aufträgen bearbeiten können und sich sicher sein können, dass der Kunde diese auch bezahlt.

PrintFlat™ und die ScreenPro™ Screening-Engine wurden entwickelt, um Streifen-, Flecken- und Bänderungs-Artefakte zu vermeiden. Dies gilt insbesondere für Flächen wie etwa blauen Himmel und einige Hauttöne – Bereiche, in denen Tintenstrahldrucker ohne Korrektur im Vergleich mit Offset- und Flexodruck im Nachteil sind.

PrintFlat entfernt Streifen oder ungleichmäßige Farbverteilung von Tintenstrahl-Druckköpfen, die häufig als „Tintenstrahl-Stirnrunzeln“ oder „Tintenstrahl-Lächeln“ bezeichnet werden. Besucher des Messestands können Druckmuster begutachten, die zeigen, welche Qualitätsverbesserungen nach der Anwendung von PrintFlat bei verschiedenen Tintenstrahl-Druckköpfen erzielt werden können.

Durch das Entfernen von Artefakt-Konvertern können Druckereien die Vorteile der digitalen Produktion nutzen, z. B. von kurzen Aktionszeiträumen bei Angeboten und vollständig variablen Daten, ohne sich Gedanken darüber machen zu müssen, ob ein bestimmter Auftrag qualitativ ansprechend gedruckt werden kann. PrintFlat und ScreenPro wurden 2019 bzw. 2018 mit dem InterTech Award der Printing Industries of America ausgezeichnet.

Global Graphics Software bietet außerdem eine Vorschau auf Version 2.0 von Fundamentals, ein einfach zu bedienendes digitales Eingabesystem mit einer modernen Benutzeroberfläche, die es dem Bediener des Druckers erleichtert, den Workflow zu steuern. New version of Fundamentals Digital Front End combines power with simplicity

Cambridge UK, 17th September, 2019: Version 2.0 of Fundamentals™, the simple toolkit for building Digital Front Ends, will be previewed at Labelexpo Europe (9A15) with a host of new features that make it easy to print label and flexible packaging jobs in only a few steps, reducing waste by making the best use of media and with accurate, consistent color throughout.

Fundamentals is a cooperation between Global Graphics Software and HYBRID Software who have worked together to ensure that the essential software components needed to create a DFE are accessible from a modern web-based user interface designed to remove complexity from the print process. Providing a native PDF workflow, Fundamentals is branded and customized to the requirements of a specific press or application.

PROOFSCOPE allows the operator to verify print separations, cut marks, barcodes, colors dimensions and density before going to print.

Clustered Harlequin RIPs® feed data to the press at high speed, without comprising on quality and handling variable data and short runs with ease. For ultra-high speed where every page is different there is an option to drive data directly to the electronics.

Consistent and predictable color for a wide range of design and creation workflows using industry standard tools is achieved with Harlequin ColorPro™. Brand look-up tables in a variety of color spaces meet the need for color fidelity and colors can be matched with conventional output for consistency across a brand presence. There’s support for industry standard ICC profiles, including device link and N-channel profiles.

ScreenPro™, the award-winning multi-level screening engine, streams data directly to the print electronics at press speed, unlocking maximum productivity on variable data jobs to process ultra-high data rates with the reliability required to maximize press up time. Advanced Inkjet Screens™ and PrintFlat™, recipient of a 2019 Printing Industries of America InterTech™ Technology Award, address inkjet quality defects that can’t be corrected mechanically, such as chaining, mottling, and banding.

Fundamentals job management is based on HYBRID Software’s proven CLOUDFLOW workflow. In version 2.0 multiple users can submit jobs to the job queue. Jobs are easy to spot in the queue, indicators show their status, and operators can easily prioritize rush jobs or reorder them. Fundamentals nasce dalla collaborazione tra Global Graphics Software e HYBRID Software, i quali hanno unito le forze per garantire l’accessibilità dei componenti software essenziali per creare un DFE, attraverso una moderna interfaccia utente basata sul Web e progettata per snellire e semplificare l’intero processo di stampa. Grazie a un flusso di lavoro PDF nativo, Fundamentals viene modulato e personalizzato per soddisfare i requisiti di un’applicazione o di un sistema di stampa specifici.
